LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - Arkansas' two U.S. senators say the Senate has approved a bill that would send millions of dollars to the state for construction projects at Little Rock Air Force Base and the Pine Bluff Arsenal.
A news release Wednesday said the bill includes $10 million for a new security-forces operations facility at the air base near Jacksonville, as well as nearly $6 million for an addition to the C-130 Flight Simulator facility at the base.
At the arsenal, $25 million would be provided for renovation of 71 warehouses used to store ammunition and explosives.
The measure must be approved by the House and signed by the president before the money will be available to the two bases.
