SHREVEPORT, La. (AP) - Authorities say a motorcyclist has died this weekend after striking a barrier on a Shreveport overpass and plunging about 30 feet to the pavement of Interstate 20 below.
The motorcyclist was taken Saturday to LSU Hospital in Shreveport, where he was pronounced dead. His identity was not immediately released.
Authorities said the man was trying to get onto westbound I-20 when he lost control of the motorcycle and it struck the side barrier of the overpass.
