NEW ORLEANS (AP) - A free health clinic for uninsured Louisiana residents attracted about 1,000 patients in New Orleans.
Saturday's examinations were conducted at the city's convention center by volunteer physicians and other medical providers. Dr. Corey Hebert says many of the patients had not seen a physician since Hurricane Katrina struck the Gulf Coast in 2005.
Another free clinic has been held in Houston - and others are scheduled for Little Rock and Kansas City.
