Wrong way driver wanted by both Bossier and S’port Police

Posted: Updated:

SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) –Both Bossier City and Shreveport police are on the lookout for a driver who nearly caused a head on collision Wednesday night in Shreveport.

The incident happened on the exit ramp from Interstate 49 to Pete Harris Dr., shortly after midnight.

According to police, a woman says that the driver of a dark colored Sedan almost hit her head on near the center of the ramp.

Amazingly, she tells police that in a split second decision, both she and that wrong way driver turned to avoid the collision.

Shreveport Police say the wrong way driver may have been a suspect who nearly ran over a Bossier City Police officer and then led Bossier Police on a chase into Shreveport.

That suspect was last spotted near Pete Harris Dr., before getting away from officers.

Right now both police agencies urge anyone that may have witnessed that incident and may have information to help officers identify the driver of the four- door Sedan to call police.
