Associated Press - November 11, 2009 2:14 PM ET

NEW ORLEANS (AP) - French officials will present what is being called the Normandy Liberty Bell to the National World War II Museum and give the Legion of Honor award to five Louisiana veterans during Veterans Day celebrations.

France's Legion of Honor Commander Admiral Brac de La Perriere on Wednesday presents the Normandy Liberty Bell, which is an exact replica of the Philadelphia original.

Gen. Gratien Maire, head of the Military Mission of the French Embassy to the U.S., will bestow the Legion of Honor - France's highest honor - on five Louisiana World War II vets, two posthumously.
