BOSSIER CITY, LA (KSLA) - Residents living in the vicinity of Red Chute Bayou and Flat River in northeast Bossier City have been advised of anticipated street flooding, say Bossier City Police officials.
The areas at risk include: Victorian Pointe, Stonebridge, Brookhaven, Richmond Cove, Carriage Oaks, and Lafayette Park subdivisions.
According to Bossier Police roadways in these areas are expected to experience floodwaters that will soon make roads impassable. Some roadways including Lakeside Drive and Parliament Drive already have water on them.
Residents who are physically disabled can call the Bossier Office of Emergency Preparedness at (318) 425-5351 so that Bossier City Fire Department personnel can assist them in leaving their homes if they so desire.
Police urge residents that the warning was not issued to suggest an evacuation, but rather to offer assistance if needed.
