SWEPCO Severe Weather Power Restoration Update

UNDATED (KSLA) - As of 10: 30 a.m., Friday, Southwestern Electric Power Company reports that there are approximately 7,300 SWEPCO customers without power.

According to SWEPCO officials, of those 7,300 customers, about 1,500 are out of Bossier City, Louisiana; 2,500 are out of Haughton, Louisiana; 2,400 are out of Shreveport, Louisiana and 280 are out of Vivian, Louisiana.

Officials have estimated the time for restoration of power for 95 percent of the customers in Vivian, around 5 p.m. Friday, in Haughton, around Midnight Friday, in Shreveport-Bossier around Noon Saturday.

SWEPCO crews are out in Longview, Texarkana, Mena and Fayetteville to assist in power recovery.
