Accident temporarily closes Bossier interstate ramp

Posted: Updated:

BOSSIER CITY, LA (KSLA) -Wet roads are being blamed for a major one vehicle accident on Interstate 20 in Bossier City, Tuesday morning.

Bossier City officials say the driver of a van was exiting I-20 eastbound onto Benton Rd., when he reportedly lost control of his vehicle.

Because of the one vehicle accident, the Benton Rd. exit ramp was shut down for at least 15 minutes while crews worked to clear the scene.

Officers say the victim only suffered from minor injuries and is expected to be okay. At last check, that part of Interstate 20 has since been reopened.
