MONROE, La. (AP) - A helicopter flight school that opened last summer and worked with the University of Louisiana at Monroe's aviation program has shut down.
Johnston Flying Services had been operating for 11 years in Houma before it opened last summer in Monroe and began working with the university.
University officials say the closure won't affect the aviation program.
The company issued a news release saying it could not meet its financial obligations - and intends to liquidate its assets.
