Shreveport-Caddo needs a master plan, and it must be one that is based on the needs of the people.
Our master plan process kicked off with visioning meetings just two months ago, and since then more than 1,800 people have shared their ideas. Thank you to each and every person who has gotten involved so far. We are finding out that, when it comes to the future we want for Shreveport-Caddo, there are many things that we all agree on.
The consultant team and the volunteers involved have one major goal in common: improving our area's future. We'll find out which ideas make sense, and hear recommendations on growth, land use and zoning efforts. It will be up to us to implement these items in Shreveport-Caddo in the coming years.
Come to a master plan meeting. In October and November we're gathering input into neighborhoods, revitalization and downtown. Let's get to work, together. Let's get involved, and stay involved. I'm Dale Colvin.
