SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) - Happening right now in Shreveport...

KSLA News 12 has learned that about 1800 North Caddo Parish residents are without power.

So far KSLA News 12 knows that around 11:30 a.m. Wednesday morning, a vehicle accident in the 6100 block of Shreveport- Blanchard Hwy., near Greywood Dr. in North Caddo Parish caused a 40 foot pole to break.

AEP SWEPCO officials tell KSLA News 12 that the pole will require pole replacement, along with a new transformer, cross arms, switches, wires and insulators.

Officials estimate all power to be restored to that area to be around 5 p.m.
