CLARKSVILLE, Ark. (AP) - Officials say the trial for a Dover man accused of killing beauty queen Nona Dirksmeyer has been delayed once more.
Gary Dunn is accused of capital murder in the beating death of Dirksmeyer, an Arkansas Tech University student who was found dead in her apartment in 2005. Dunn's trial, originally set for last month, had been continued until February.
Circuit Judge William M. Pearson's office says the trial has been delayed to April 12, 2010, due to "docket congestion."
Dunn is the second person to be tried in Dirksmeyer's death. A jury in 2007 acquitted Dirksmeyer's boyfriend, Kevin Jones, of murder.
