Associated Press - September 24, 2009 4:15 AM ET

TYLER, Texas (AP) - Classes are set to resume at a Texas high school a day after a special education teacher was fatally stabbed in a classroom.

Authorities in Tyler, Texas, say a 16-year-old male student is accused of walking up to 50-year-old Todd Henry at John Tyler High School and stabbing him in the neck Wednesday. The school district says the teen is being held at a juvenile detention facility.

Superintendent Randy Reid says classes will be held Thursday.

A district spokeswoman says counseling will be available as needed for the school's approximately 2,000 students, as well as staff members.
