RINGGOLD, LA (KSLA) - New developments in the dispute between the Mayor of Ringgold, Louisiana and Bienville Parish's District Attorney.
More testimony is expected next week before any decision is learned of whether Ringgold will need a new mayor or not.
The dispute involves the residency of Ringgold Mayor Stephone Taylor.
KSLA News 12 has already confirmed that Taylor has now been placed back on the voter registration rolls in Bienville Parish.
That registration had been revoked and the District Attorney, Jonathan Stewart, filed a lawsuit to remove Taylor from office after his wife filed for homestead exemption on their home in Shreveport.
Taylor currently stays at his mother-in-law's home during the week to run his business, 'Taylor's Quick Stop,' located in Ringgold.
Testimony began in court Thursday and continued Friday for the residency hearing. It's expected to wrap up on Tuesday afternoon in Bienville Parish court.
