POTTSVILLE, Ark. (AP) - Pope County authorities are investigating the death of a man whose body was discovered in the Arkansas River near Sweden Island Park.
Pope County Sheriff Aaron DuVall says a fisherman and his wife who were vacationing in the area discovered the man's body Thursday afternoon and notified authorities.
Duvall says the state medical examiner's office will try to identify the man and a possible cause of death.
He says the man's body had been in the water for at least 24 hours.
