VICTORIA, Texas (AP) - More than 250 immigrants in Victoria obtained their passport or identification card during a visit of the mobile service of the Mexican consulate.
The event was held at the Jerusalem Family Praise Center, the Victoria Advocate reported Saturday.
Speaking in Spanish, a consulate official, Alvaro Cardenas, said the mobile service travels on Saturdays to reach out and assist people who can not make it to their main office in Houston.
All the communication between the workers and immigrants are in Spanish.
One man said he waited with his sons for about an hour and a half for his passport.
