Four indicted in Gregg Cty. double jail escape

Posted: Updated:

LONGVIEW, TX (KSLA) - Four indictments have been handed down in May's double escape from the Gregg County Jail.

Desmond Jackson and Bruce Kelly escaped the jail's south facility by hiding in a trash bin, according to Longview officials. They were found a few days later and re-arrested.

Two jailers, Jvonne Oliver and Garciela Carillo were charged with leaving Jackson and Kelly's cells open.

A jail trustee, Anthony Williams was also indicted. He's accused of helping the inmates get to the trash bin they escaped in.

Bruce Kelly's brother, Marquis Kelly is accused of driving the getaway car.
