LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - An 18-year-old football player for Arkansas Baptist College has died two days after collapsing following a morning practice.
Pulaski County Coroner Garland Camper says Courtney Stone of Little Rock died early Friday evening at St. Vincent Infirmary Medical Center. He says an autopsy and toxicology report must be completed before a cause of death is determined.
Arkansas Baptist President Fitz Hill says Stone collapsed about 10 minutes after a football practice Wednesday morning. He says an independent investigation will be conducted into Stone's death once more facts become known.
