
Robert Scudder (Source: Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office)BETHANY, LA (KSLA) -The director of the Joy Home for Boys in Bethany, Louisiana was arrested Thursday for allegedly stealing money from the facility.
47-year-old Robert Douglas Scudder of Keatchie, was arrested according to deputies after an interview with a detective from the Caddo Financial Crimes Task Force.
Scudder is accused of stealing more than $27,000 from the facility between November 2008 and June 2009.
Deputies say the investigation into Scudder began after an account for the boy's home found checks made payable to the Joy Home for Boys being deposited into Scudder's personal account.
Scudder has now been booked into the Caddo Correctional Center facing a charge of theft.
