Huckabee, Ford slated to speak at NKU

HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. (AP) - A bi-partisan pair of 1-time office holders will be the featured speakers at Northern Kentucky University's 10th Annual Alumni Lecture series.

The Kentucky Enquirer reports that former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, who ran for the GOP presidential nomination in 2008, and former Democratic Congressman Harold Ford Jr. of Tennessee are slated to speak Nov. 18 at the school.

Huckabee has been mentioned as a potential Republican presidential candidate in 2012.

Ford is the chairman of the Democratic Leadership Council and a visiting professor at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tenn. He served in Congress for 10 years.
