AUSTIN, Texas (AP) - Politicians running for office in Texas are facing a deadline day.
Mid-year campaign finance reports are due Wednesday at the Texas Ethics Commission for those raising money for state campaigns.
Several gubernatorial candidates - including Republicans Rick Perry and Kay Bailey Hutchison - have already announced their fundraising totals for the six-month period that ended June 30. But the detailed reports they must turn in to the state agency will show who is giving to them and how much they are donating.
Federal candidates also have a quarterly report deadline Wednesday.
