East Texas vacant home fire still under investigation

DEKALB, TX (KSLA) - DeKalb, Texas fire investigators is working to determine what started a massive house fire in East Texas Monday night.

The fire broke out at a vacant home on Highway 82 just before 11p.m.

According to crews working the fire, the house was fully involved when crews arrived on scene. The heat and flames from the vacant home caught an adjacent house on fire also.

Crews from the Bowie County Fire Department were also called in to assist with the fires.

Luckily, no one was hurt. The investigation into how the fire started continues.
