Two arrested for drugs following Webster crash

WEBSTER PARISH, LA (KSLA) -Two people are behind bars in Webster Parish following a car accident Friday.

The Webster Parish Sheriff's Department says 22-year-old Matthew Lewis and 22-year-old Cassie Guillory were arrested from the scene of an accident on Middle Road in Minden Friday afternoon.

Deputies say both Lewis and Guillory were exhibiting unusual behavior and then noticed a set of digital scales in the vehicle.

Upon searching the suspect's home, deputies found marijuana, illegally obtained prescription drugs, paraphernalia and guns.

Both Lewis and Guillory are in the Bayou Dorcheat Correctional Center facing charges of possession of marijuana, a schedule IV narcotic and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Lewis faces an additional charge, according to deputies of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
