AR union members protest Free Choice Act

Posted: Updated:

TEXARKANA, AR (KSLA) - The Employee Free Choice Act debate continues, only this time in Texarkana, Arkansas.

A group of local leaders and ministers gathered at the Miller County Courthouse in support of the legislation.

Some believe the law would improve the method of unionizing a company; however, opponents say it will hurt business.

David Boon, a minister and union representative is in support of the legislation.

"It rebuilds the middle class and it also restores worker's rights to organize," said Boon.

The group presented U.S. Senator Blanch Lincoln with signatures from proponents in hopes to convince the Senator to support the Free Choice Act.
