BAFB Air Show ready for take off

BOSSIER CITY, LA (KSLA) -It's the talk of the town this weekend in Bossier City, Barksdale Air Force Base is holding its annual Air Show.

Throughout the week, aircrafts have been flying around, prepping for the weekend event. The show kicks off Saturday morning in Bossier at 10 a.m., doors open at 9a.m.

Barksdale officials are expecting several thousand spectators on the base this weekend.

For those who don't want to get caught up in traffic, there will be free shuttles, all weekend. The shuttle will pick up on Saturday from First Baptist Bossier, on Sunday from the Bossier Civic Center.

Also for Mother's Day, there will be a free Mother's Day concert held. The concert will feature country music singer Aaron Tippin.
