SULPHUR, La. (AP) - State police say a Eunice woman died after she was struck by a vehicle on Interstate 10 eastbound west of Sulphur.
At about 10 p.m. Wednesday, troopers say 37-year-old Angela Faul was hit by a 2002 Ford Explorer that was traveling east. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
State police say Faul was reportedly a passenger in a car that was parked in the emergency lane of the interstate after it had broken down.
Investigators say it is unknown whether Faul was flagging down traffic or trying to cross the interstate.
