DEQUINCY, LA (KSLA) - A South Louisiana man is dead after a tragic oil rig accident Sunday.
The accident happened in DeQuincy, Louisiana, which is located in Beauregard Parish.
According to the Beauregard Parish Sheriff's Office, the man has been identified as 50-year-old Brian Dominque.
Investigators say Dominque was loading oil field equipment at a site off the Louisiana Highway 12. While trying to secure the load, the load shifted and fell on top of him.
Dominque was pronounced dead on his way to the hospital.
An investigation into the fatal accident continues.
