    1 killed in single-vehicle crash in Shreveport

    Shreveport police are investigating a car crash that left one person dead overnight. It happened just after midnight Friday. Police say a man lost control of his vehicle and ran off the road striking a concrete overpass.  He was pronounced dead at the scene.  The victim has not been identified. It happened Thursday, April 19, on Line Avenue in Shreveport around 3:40 p.m. The driver has been identified as 21-year-old John Dillon Harrell of Benton. Officials say Harrell died in the accident that occurred at Line's intersection with Monrovia Street, just south of Betty-Virginia Park.
