5 men caught in vice operation in Shreveport park

SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) - Five men face obscenity charges in the wake of a vice operation in a Shreveport park.

BOOKED: Marvin Lee Murray (clockwise from top left), 59, Mark Shiplov, 52, Jimmie M. Salley, 80, Melvin Stallcup, 72, and (center) Warren Williams, 74. Each is charged with one count of obscenity, booking records show. (Source: Shreveport Police Department)

It was conducted April 11-12 in Charles and Marie Hamel Memorial Park along Clyde Fant Memorial Parkway, Shreveport police report.

Members of the area Crimes Against Children Task Force and the Shreveport police vice unit arrested:

  • Marvin Lee Murray, 59, of Shreveport, on April 11 for allegedly exposing himself to an undercover agent at a public park in return for sexual favors;
  • Mark Shiplov, 52, of Shreveport, on April 11 for exposing himself to an undercover agent and attempting to make a sexual proposition,
  • Warren Williams, 74, of Shreveport, on April 11 for exposing himself to an undercover agent in a public park that people were using for recreation,
  • Melvin Stallcup, 72, of Shreveport, on April 11 for allegedly exposing himself to an officer in a public park, and,
  • Jimmie M. Salley, 80, of Shreveport, on April 12 for allegedly exposing himself to an undercover agent in a public park.
