She partnered with her childhood best friend Breia Smith, who owns Bliss Wax Bar. Smith serves as the foundation liaison for this area. Four the past four years, the foundation has given away turkeys around Christmas.
Today, volunteers loaded up the frozen turkeys in the in Cedar Grove area as drivers pulled in to the parking lot.
“This year we gave away 230 turkeys. They go fast and the word gets out and passed along through social media and word of mouth and people come and pick them up. We definitely feel blessed to be able to have the things we need and we want to always be able to give back to the community in ways that we can,” said Carter and Smith.
All of the turkeys were gone within a couple of hours.
