Motorcycle groups help kids have “A Christmas to Remember”

SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) - Since 2016, motorcycle groups from across the ArkLaTex have sponsored a child in need for Christmas.

The event is called “A Christmas to Remember," this year 22 kids are on the list to receive gifts. Each kid writes a letter to Santa and then the motorcycle club will buy all the gifts.

“We want these kids to truly have a Christmas to remember. They might have had something bad happen to them and this will help lift their spirits,” David “Southern Santa” Trent says. “This is what the holiday is all about.”

Southern Santa and his wife Mrs. Claus created the event and have helped grow it every year. The clubs held their traditional run to a restaurant to celebrate their donations.

If you would like to learn more about the event or donate, you can contact Southern Santa at (318) 210-1558.
