SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) - Two North Louisiana organizations came together to make sure homeless veterans have a hot meal to eat for the holidays.

The annual Homeless Veterans program Christmas party was hosted by The Shreveport Elks Lodge 122 and Boy Scout Troop 5 on Dec. 6. The event brought together over 100 veterans, and some of their families. The Elks have been hosting this Christmas tradition for 15 years.

Those in attendance enjoyed a holiday meal, caroling, gifts, and door prizes.

All the veterans in attendance have received services from the OBVAMC Health Care through their Homeless Veterans program.
