SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) - Detectives with the Shreveport Police Department believe they have enough evidence to arrest a 13-year-old girl and another woman in connection to a homicide investigation.
According to a news release, officers have arrested the juvenile and Sarah Ritter, 20, of Shreveport on one count each of second degree murder.
The arrests come on the heels of an investigation into the death of a man whose body was located December 1, 2018 in a grass fire in the 3100 block of Murphy Street.
While firefighters were putting out the fire, they found the body of Tawfik Gawbahy, 34.
Both suspects were arrested Wednesday.
According to the probable cause statement on the booking sheet, the suspect stabbed the victim until he was dead before taking his body to a different location and setting it on fire.
