TEXARKANA, TX (KSLA) - There’s a Christmas parade tonight in downtown Texarkana.

In a Facebook post, the Texarkana Texas Police Department is asking the public to come on out and enjoy a great evening of colorful floats, marching bands and camels. “The weather is going to be perfect with clear skies and temperatures in the lower 40′s," the post read.

It’s scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. They will begin blocking off streets along the route at 6:15 p.m.

“You will want to be there early for a good parking spot. However, please keep in mind that parking will not be allowed on Broad Street itself.”

You can have your picture taken with the camels from 5 p.m. until the parade begins. Head to Front Street Festival Plaza.

Santa will be available to meet with children after the parade, at Joe’s Pizza.
