SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) - Goats, kangaroos, camels, sheep, zebra, and Christmas memories. That’s what you can see and do at the Jubilee Zoo in Shreveport for Christmas Jubilee. Jubilee stands for celebration and the owners of the zoo want to create a unique holiday experience. This is a great way to get out of the house and create lifelong memories with your family.
Their barn is full of 100 Christmas Trees that you can purchase. All of the proceeds from the trees will go towards feeding the animals during the winter months. Flocking, trimming, tree strands, and delivery are available for an extra fee. The pricing of tree from now until December 1st are as follows:
- Fraser Fir - $12 per foot
- White Pine - $10 a foot
To purchase a tree, you do not have to purchase admission to the zoo. From now until Saturday, if you do purchase a tree, you will receive 2 free tickets for the Jubilee Zoo. Inside, you can feed the animals, go on bouncy houses, participate in their “Sno” pit, and even enjoy a hayride to see all the animals. Their gift shop will be open throughout the month to purchase keepsakes from the zoo.
The main event will be Breakfast with Santa. December 1st, 8th, and 15th, you and your family can enjoy time with Santa and Mrs. Clause. The event will go from 10 a.m. until noon and will cost $38 per child. Adults can pay $10 for a ticket that will include breakfast. The cost for children includes:
- Reindeer Pancake Activity & Breakfast
- Santa visit and a small gift
- Hayride to visit and feed the animals
- New Stuff-Your-Own Christmas friend from our Making Friends Factory
