Shreveport Regional Arts Council kicking off local shopping event in downtown

SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) - If you are looking for Christmas gifts to give to loved ones — the Shreveport Regional Arts Council has an event just for you.

The council is bringing back its gift giving event called HOLIDAZE. The event will kick off at 5 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 8 at Artspace in downtown Shreveport.

The community can come out and enjoy roasted marshmallows and live entertainment, and purchase gifts from local artists.

Things like paintings, photographs, and scarves will be up for sale — all made by 20 Northwest Louisiana Artists.

HOLIDAZE will last until Saturday December 22nd, and every Thursday Artspace will extend its shopping hours and bring in live music.

The performances for November and December are as followed:

  • Ricky Latt and Tipsey the Band – Thursday, November 8, 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. 
  • The 3 -- Thursday, November 15, 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. (Tanji Jefferson, Ron “Slack” Jefferson, and Alex Johnson) 
  • Brumley & Gardner -- Saturday, November 24, 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
  • The Joanitones -- Thursday, November 29, 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
  • Poboy McCoy -- Thursday, December 13, 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
  • Stephanie Jackson -- Thursday, December 20, 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

HOLIDAZE shopping hours are Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Thursdays until 8:00 p.m. and Saturday from noon to 5:00 p.m.
