It appears that rain will move into the Ark-La-Tex late afternoon or early evening Wednesday along with a few rumbles of thunder and move across the area overnight. Rain will be likely overnight and into the afternoon Thursday before decreasing as it moves to the east and out of the Ark-La-Tex. We will certainly experience moderate rain with a very moist atmosphere. However, there may be areas of heavy rain as the event unfolds. Temperatures will fall from the mid 60s Wednesday afternoon to near 50 Thursday morning. The highs Thursday will be only near 60. Skies will be cloudy both days.
At this point Future Track is projecting the least rainfall will be in the northern Ark-La-Tex well to the north of I-30 where totals will be a half inch or so. The far southern Ark-La-Tex well to the south of I-20 could pick up an inch or so. The rest of the area from the I-30 corridor to NW Louisiana and East Texas could pick up an inch and a half or so. At this time flooding is not expected.
