SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) - Shreveport police are investigating after a teenager was shot in the head overnight. It happened shortly before midnight along the intersection of Frederick Street and Mertis Avenue.
Witnesses told police three people were standing outside when someone inside a vehicle traveling southbound on Mertis Avenue opened fire. The gunman reportedly fired 20-25 rounds.
The teen was taken to the hospital where his injuries are considered life-threatening.
No arrests have been made but police are searching for a grey vehicle.
