Bossier superintendent speaks on Benton teacher’s arrest, rape charges

BOSSIER PARISH, LA (KSLA) - Scott Smith, Superintendent for Bossier Schools, will speak Saturday afternoon regarding the arrest and allegations against a Benton Elementary teacher and coach.

The news conference began at 2 p.m. KSLA News 12 streamed it live in the app and on Facebook.

Smith will speak regarding the charges against Aubrey “Perry” Norcross. He has been charged with a count of video voyerism and first degree rape of another student. The acts allegedly took place on campus.

Norcross was taken into custody Wednesday, October 17th on the video voyeurism charge. The Bossier Parish Sheriff’s Office announced the first degree rape charge on Friday afternoon.

Norcross's bond now totals $900,000 ($700,000 on the 1st degree rape charge and $200,000 on the charge of video voyeurism.)

Grady Bray, Ph.D. will be on hand to offer parents tips on talking about tough topics, such as sexual matters that happen outside the home.
