Rain may dampen some Friday night football games. Here’s a time line tonight through the weekend.

Rain will increase from the north as we go through the evening and overnight into Saturday. We have already seen a few showers in the I-30 corridor. This will not be a rain for everybody all the time, so you don’t have to worry about that. It’s not a 36 hour wash out. I think the rain may be spotty to begin with in the I-30 corridor through this afternoon until sunset. Still, that spotty rain could dampen some of the Friday night football games in that area. It appears that rain increases in coverage later in the evening between I-30 and I-20. This will move slowly southward and may be along the I-20 corridor by daybreak. The northern Ark-La-Tex should be clearing by dawn. Rain should move south of I-20 by 10 am and out of the area by early afternoon. The I-20 area should have sunshine by 4 pm and the rest of the Ark-La-Tex should have clear skies by 7 pm.

With clear skies and light winds, morning lows will be in the 40s to near 50. Be aware that patchy fog could form in the morning in areas that received rain. Sunday will see abundant sunshine almost all day before a few clouds move in. Highs Sunday will be in the upper 50s north to low 60s south. I hope your high school team wins tonight and your college team wins tomorrow and your pro team wins Sunday. Go Team Go!!
