SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) — The American Kitefliers Association will hold its 41st Annual Competition and Convention in Shreveport-Bossier starting this week.
From 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. each day at LSUS soccer fields different kites will be spotlighted during flying demonstrations. Admission is free. The event began on Tuesday and will last through through Saturday, October 20.
This is the first time the AKA will hold its annual event in Louisiana.
On Wednesday. the AKA will host an indoor and zero wind kite flying competition at the Shreveport Convention Center from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
The doors will open at 6 p.m. and will close at 7 p.m. No entry will be allowed after 7 p.m. to allow for zero wind conditions.
Admission for that event is free.
