Jurors find Shreveport man guilty of inappropriately touching a child
CONVICTED: Richard Flemming Collins Jr., 54, of Shreveport, two counts of indecent behavior with a juvenile.

SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) - A Shreveport man is guilty of inappropriately touching a child under age 13.

That’s the verdict of an eight-man, four-woman jury in Caddo District Court.

The Caddo district attorney’s office says jurors, after deliberating for three hours Wednesday evening, convicted 54-year-old Richard Flemming Collins Jr. of two counts of indecent behavior of a juvenile.

He is due back in District Judge Ramona Emanuel’s courtroom for sentencing Oct. 30.

Collins could be ordered to serve up to seven years in prison with or without hard labor and fined up to $5,000 on each of the charges, the district attorney’s office reports.

He remains in Caddo Correctional Center, where he was booked Sept. 27 on two counts of sexual battery and one count of indecent behavior with juveniles.
