BOSSIER CITY, LA (KSLA) - Bossier City has issued a boil advisory as a result of low water pressure due to emergency repairs to a main pipeline on Vanceville Road.
The advisory impacts water customers along Vanceville, Benton and Britton roads, Autumn Creek and Flowerbrook Street, says a notice from the city.
Accompanying the notice is a map that identifies the area impacted as running along Benton Road, extending north of Flowerbrook Street and including segments of Autumn Creek and Vanceville Road.
Crews began making the repairs Thursday morning and are expected to complete the work by 5 p.m.
The advisory is a precaution, not a boil order, and pertains only to water that people consume, the statement says.
The advisory recommends that those in the affected area boil their water for a minute before consuming it.
