SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) - A man wanted in connection to Monday’s fatal shooting in the Agurs neighborhood has turned himself in to authorities.
Trimnell D. O’Neal, 26, has been named as the alleged gunman in the shooting death of 29-year-old Johnny Thomas, according to a news release. O’Neal is charged with one count of second-degree murder.
The shooting happened in the 1700 block of Pointe Coupee Drive. Officers learned that Thomas was shot multiple times. He was rushed to a Shreveport hospital where he later died.
Investigators on the scene were able to get information that pointed to O’Neal as the gunman, according to SPD.
In the news release, it states:
He was booked into Shreveport City Jail following interviews with investigators. He is charged with second degree murder.
His bond is listed at $500,000.
