CARTHAGE, TEXAS (KSLA) - Glenn Hambrick, superintendent of Carthage, Texas, Independent School District, has announced his retirement plans.
In a statement sent by email to KSLA News 12, Hambrick says: “This is my 41st year in education and 11th year as superintendent at Carthage ISD. It has been my goal to leave the district in a good academic and financial position, and I believe the district is in such a situation."
"It has been my pleasure to serve in this fantastic district, to work with such a quality School Board and with outstanding administrators, teachers and staff. I look forward to the next chapter in my life. My wife Kelly and I plan to continue to make our home in Carthage.”
Hambrick said his retirement tentatively is set for Jan. 18.
